The #2 of all the NFL Football Draft Picks, running back Reggie Bush out of USC! |
Number 2 Pick: New Orleans Saints - Reggie Bush (RB, University of Southern California)
Everyone except the Houston Texans believed that Reggie Bush was the sure-fire #1 of the NFL Football draft picks. The Saints may have gotten the steal of the draft at Running Back when the star-studded tailback slid to them at the two-spot. The 5-10, 200 pound tailback could do it all in college football. He has blazing speed and quickness, can catch the ball out of the backfield, line up in the slot, and beat anybody in the world to the corner. Bush will also help the Saints out on special teams where he will be returning punts as well as playing the Running Back position. Some of the reasons why the Texans passed on Bush are because they wondered whether or not he could be a featured back in the National Football League at only 5-10, 200 pounds. Also, he never really carried the load in college football, as LenDale White got the bulk of the carries down the stretch.
