The number 4 of the NFL Football Draft Picks D'Brickashaw Ferguson info |
Number 4 Pick: New York Jets – D'Brickashaw Ferguson (OT, Virginia Cavaliers)
At 6-6, 305 pounds, D’Brickashaw Ferguson gives the Jets much needed help on the offensive line as the number four of the NFL Football Picks in the 2006 draft. He is very athletic and very surprisingly quick for his size as a tackle. Ferguson has extremely long arms, which will help him with getting his hands on the quicker defensive ends in the National Football League. Ferguson is arguably the safest pick in the 1st round of all the picks, and probably could have been drafted a little bit higher if he were to come out in 2005 after his junior season. He is a very smart football player, very durable, and has tons of upside. Ferguson already has a lot of experience at Offensive Tackle, as he started at left tackle for Virginia since his freshman year. If Ferguson can continue to add some bulk without losing the mobility, he will surely be one of the best offensive-linemen in the National Football League. Some of the worry about Ferguson as an Offensive Tackle is also whether or not he will get pushed around in his first few years because he is still a bit undersized for NFL standards.
