2008 Packers Team Preview

      At this point nobody is sure what will happen with Brett Favre. Favre seems anxious to be back in Green Bay, while the Packers seem anxious to keep him in Mississippi. The Packers would like to get started with the Aaron Rodgers era. That won’t be likely to happen if Favre returns to the Frozen Tundra. The Packers were the surprise of last season. A legend at QB leading a young team to the playoffs. Ryan Grant will return to the backfield again this season with great experience under his belt. If the team is able to get free from the Favre soap opera, this offense could prove successful again.

      With the unknowns of having Aaron Rodgers take over for Favre, the Packers drafted QB Brian Bohm in the second round of the 2008 draft. While turning some heads, this move shores up what was thought to be a young position.

      Green Bay’s schedule provides almost no opportunity to get comfortable. The season is full of tough games throughout. Look for the Packers to win double digit games, but not over twelve, and make the playoffs.
