2008 Indianapolis Colts Preview

      The Colts were a non factor in free agency during the off-season, not a surprise, but they did make some moves that will impact the team. They were able to resign Dallas Clark and stocked their offensive line with good draft picks.

      The Colts had a good NFL draft. Mike Pollack and Steve Justice will help strengthen the offensive line, while running back Mike Hart may prove to be their biggest pick. If Hart becomes a potent NFL rusher, look for the combination of Hart, Addai and Manning to be one of the best backfields in football. This is a veteran team, but they have made enough key moves to bring in young talent to help the veterans. The Colts are based around Peyton Manning. As long as Manning is healthy, the Colts are always a threat to go deep into the playoffs. Marvin Harrison returns this year at wide receiver, giving Manning back his favorite target.

      The Colts get no breaks in the scheduling department. Once again, they meet the San Diego Chargers, on November 23 in San Diego, who have beaten them in their last three meetings. Despite the schedule, look for the Colts to take care of business in the AFC South and make a run in the playoffs. Other key games include the Steelers, the Jaguars and the Titans.
