Bankroll Sports columnists have provided an NFL football team preview on the 2008 Seattle Seahawks. Read for information on what to expect from the Seahawks for the upcoming 2008 NFL Football Picks season. |
Seattle was the clear class of a weak NFC West in 2007 and will be confident heading into 2008. The biggest missing piece is the departure of Shaun Alexander, but the Seahawks hope to fill that hole with Julius Jones. The backfield is full of talent and Seattle will make up for the loss of Shaun Alexander. As the rest of the NFC is improving, the Seahawks will look to add defensive intensity to a good overall offense and keep the NFC West title.
Rookie Red Bryant shores up an already intense defense. The Seahawks were slashed for over 200 yards on the ground in the playoffs last year and will be looking to make a defensive statement. A big overlooked draft move was the pick up of Brandon Coutu, rated by many as the top kicker in the draft.
The 2008 schedule is a good one for Seattle. There are few interesting patches, with back to backs at the Giants and then hosting the Packers. Then they go to Dallas on Thanksgiving only to return home for the Patriots.
