Bankroll Sports writers have provided an NFL football team preview on the 2008 Washington Redskins. Read for information on what to expect from the Redskins for the upcoming 2008 NFL Football Picks season. |
The Washington Redskins have potential. Whether that potential will translate into a NFC East title is another story. The schedule is brutal, with their opener coming on the road against the Super Bowl Champion Giants. They go on the road against their division rivals the Cowboys and the Eagles in weeks four and five. They finish their regular season schedule on the road for three of the final four weeks. This schedule is a test for any NFL team, but for a Washington team with key rookies on offense, the task may put them in the NFC East basement.
This offense will have to come to play to keep the Redskins competitive in their division. Not only may the offense be a concern, but the secondary could be weak too. Justin Tryon will provide a bit of depth at CB. Jason Campbell should have a number of good targets to throw to this year. Adding the rookies Devin Thomas and Malcolm Kelly to an offense with stars Santana Moss, Randle El, Chris Cooley, and Fred Davis will give the Redskins the potent mix that it will need to win games. The NFC East remains a viscous division with the Giants, Eagles, and Cowboys. Even a good team with potential can come out on the bottom end of that.
