Time: 1:00pm ET
Spread: Carolina – 9.5
Over/Under: 38
Preview: The Kansas City Chiefs pulled one of the
biggest upsets of the early 2008 NFL season. The Chiefs were able to pull off a
33-19 win over AFC West rival Denver on Sunday. In the win, the Chiefs were out
gained 446 to 370 in total yards, but Kansas City was able to force 4 turnovers,
and limit the Broncos to fewer than 100 rushing yards. Larry Johnson had a
breakout game for the Chiefs rushing 28 times for 198 yards and 2 touchdowns,
including a run of 65 yards. For Carolina, the Panthers keep finding ways to
win. Sunday, their first win with Steve Smith in the lineup, Carolina knocked
off Atlanta 24-9. On Sunday, the Panthers put up 401 offensive yards, including
294 in the air, from Jake Delhomme. Muhsin Muhammed caught 8 passes for 147

Chicago Bears (2-2) @ Detroit Lions (0-3)
Time: 1:00pm ET
Spread: Chicago – 3
Over/Under: 44.5
Preview: The Chicago Bears picked up a huge Sunday
night win at home. The Bears were 24-20 winners of the Philadelphia Eagles on
the Sunday Night game of the week. In that game the Bears were out gained 340 to
256 in total yards, and turned the ball over four times. The key to the game was
a four possession stop from inside the five yard line which the Eagles attempted
to run up the middle four times. Running back Matt Forte has gained nearly 500
total offensive yards in his first four games. The Bears come in tied in the NFC
North with Green Bay at 2-2. For Detroit, after a bye week the Lions hope to
post their first 2008 win. Nothing Detroit has done has been pretty to start the
year. In their first three games the Lions have yielded 113 points, while
scoring 59. Quarterback Jon Kitna has been on the heat seat lately throwing five
interceptions in three games. The Lions losses have been to Atlanta, Green Bay
and San Francisco. Detroit is in last place in the NFC North, at 0-3.
Atlanta Falcons (2-2) @ Green Bay Packers (2-2)
Time: 1:00pm ET
Spread: N/A
Over/Under: N/A
Preview: The Atlanta Falcons are still trying to
figure out how to play on the road in the NFL. With rookie Matt Ryan, Atlanta
has scored 9 points in both their first two road games. Ironically, the Falcons
have also given up 24 points in both their first two road games. While at home,
Atlanta is averaging 36 points a game, while allowing just 17.5. Unfortunately
in week five Atlanta must go on the road. Their week five opponent will be the
Green Bay Packers. The Packers come in; losers of two straight games, with
losses to Dallas and Tampa Bay. Aaron Rodgers is questionable with a possible
separated shoulder. The Packers have scored 109 points, while allowing 101 in
four games. Running back Ryan Grant has yet to reach the end zone via the ground
in 2008.

Patriots, 38-13. In that game Ronnie Brown rushed for four touchdowns, while
throwing for another. The Dolphins have scored 62 points, and allowed 64 on the
season. The Chargers currently are tied up top in the AFC West, while the
Dolphins sit at the bottom of the AFC East, at 1-2.
Seattle (1-2) @ NY
Giants (3-0)
Time: 1:00pm ET
Spread: NY Giants – 7
Over/Under: 43.5
Preview: The Seattle Seahawks, coming off a bye
week look to push their winning streak to two on Sunday. Their challenge will be
the undefeated, defending Super Bowl Champion New York Giants. For Seattle,
after dropping their first two games to Buffalo and San Francisco, they were
able to get in the win column in week three with a 37-13 win over St. Louis.
Quarterback Matt Hassleback who has just completed 47 of 97 passes for 551 yards
and two touchdowns leads Seattle. The Seahawks have scored 77 points, and
allowed 80. Seattle sits in third place in the NFC West at 1-2. For the Giants,
all they have done to start the season is win three straight, and in doing some
have become, to some, the team to beat not only in the NFC, but in the NFL. The
Giants have scored 83 points in three games; wins over Washington, St. Louis,
and Cincinnati. The Giants are also coming off their bye week. New York leads
the talented NFC East, at 3-0, leading Washington and Dallas that are 3-1.
Washington Redskins (3-1) @
Philadelphia Eagles (2-2)
Time: 1:00pm ET
Spread: Philadelphia – 5.5
Over/Under: 42
Preview: A NFC East battle is never an easy game.
Washington has won three straight games, with their only loss coming in week one
to NFC East opponent; New York Giants. In their four games, Jim Zorn’s squad has
piled up just 86 points, but allowed just 81. Their three wins have been over
New Orleans, Arizona, and Dallas. The Redskins are 1-1 on the road thus far. For
Philadelphia, without running back Brian Westbrook, were not able to muster
enough points on Sunday night to knock off the Bears in Chicago. The Eagles had
a chance to take a lead late in the game, but were shut down on four straight
run plays, and ultimately defeated 24-20. Rookie DeSean Jackson has been a
bright spot for Philadelphia compiling nearly 330 yards in four games.
Washington sits in second place in the NFC East, while the Eagles are at the
bottom, at 2-2.
Tennessee Titans
(4-0) @ Baltimore Ravens (2-1)
Time: 1:00pm ET
Spread: Tennessee – 3
Over/Under: 34
Preview: The Titans are one of three undefeated
teams left in the NFL. With wins over Jacksonville, Cincinnati, Houston and
Minnesota the Titans have put up 102 points, while allowing just 46. Tennessee
has not allowed more than 17 points in a game. Offensively, Kerry Collins has
taken over for the injured Vince Young at quarterback. His top man has been
running back LenDale White, who has ran for five touchdowns in four games. For
Baltimore, after a near win Monday night in Pittsburgh will look to regroup and
pick up win # 3. Rookie Joe Flacco has completed 44 of 79 passes for 450 yards
and a touchdown. Willis McGahee looks to be out for the game after injuring
himself on Monday Night Football. The Titans sit atop the AFC South with a 4-0
record, while Baltimore is a half game back in the AFC North, at 2-1.
Indianapolis Colts
(1-2) @ Houston Texans (0-3)
Time: 1:00pm ET
Spread: Indianapolis – 3
Over/Under: 47
Preview: The Indianapolis Colts are coming off
their bye week, and hungry to get something going during the 2008 season. The
Colts have lost two of three games to start the year, including both games
played at home. The Colts were down by Chicago and Jacksonville at home, and
they were able to sneak away a victory in Minneapolis over the Vikings. The
offense, led by Peyton Manning and Joseph Addai have not been able to get going
thus far, have only scored 52 points, while allowing 67. The Colts are currently
sitting in third place in the AFC South at 1-2. Houston will host Indianapolis,
in what will be their home opener, in week five. With losses to Pittsburgh,
Tennessee, and Jacksonville, the beginning of the slate has not been an easy
road for the Texans. Houston has been outscored 99-56 in three games played thus
far. On Sunday, Jacksonville kicker Josh Scobee downed the Texans on a game
winning field goal in overtime. Houston is currently 0-3 in the AFC South.
Tampa Bay Bucs (3-1) @ Denver
Broncos (3-1)
Time: 4:05pm ET
Spread: Denver - 3
Over/Under: 48
Preview: Two 3-1 squads will battle in an AFC/NFC
battle on Sunday. Tampa Bay, who has won three straight games, over Atlanta,
Chicago and Green Bay; after their week one loss at New Orleans. Tampa Bay has
outscored opponent 101-78 in the first four weeks of the season. Quarterback
Brian Griese has completed 71 of 128 passes for 716 yards and four touchdowns.
Tampa Bay is currently tied with Carolina at top of the NFC South; both with 3-1
records. Denver, comes in 3-1 as well, but coming off an extremely disappointing
loss on the road at Kansas City. The Chiefs put it to the Broncos, winning
33-19. In that game, the Broncos defense allowed Larry Johnson to run for 198
yards. The Denver defense allowed a total of 370 yards on the game. Turning the
ball over four times on offense hampered the Broncos. Denver currently leads the
AFC West with a 3-1 record.
Buffalo Bills (4-0) @ Arizona Cardinals (2-2)
Time: 4:15pm ET
Spread: Arizona – 1
Over/Under: 44.5
Preview: The Buffalo Bills have been the NFL’s
darlings in the first four weeks. The Bills will take that claim, and their 4-0
mark across country on Sunday, and battle the Arizona Cardinals. Buffalo
currently leads the AFC East with a 4-0 record, currently leading New England by
1.5 games. The Bills have wins over Seattle, Jacksonville, Oakland and St.
Louis. In those four games, Buffalo has out scored opponents 109-63 in those
four games. Quarterback Trent Edwards has started the season well for the Bills
completing 78 of 119 passes for 930 yards and four touchdowns. For Arizona,
after a quick 2-0 start, the East Coast to Washington and the NY Jets turned
into two defeats. In those two games the Cardinals allowed 80 points, including
56 to Brett Favre and the Jets. On Sunday, the Cardinals trailed 31-0 at
halftime, but then proceeded to score 35 second half points, but fall 56-35.
Kurt Warner threw for 492 yards in the game. Arizona currently sits in a tie
with San Francisco at top of the NFC West with a 2-2 record.
New England Patriots (2-1) @ San
Francisco 49ers (2-2)
Time: 4:15pm ET
Spread: New England – 3
Over/Under: 41
Preview: There is no doubt the New England Patriots
will be coming into Sunday’s game very hungry. After their first loss in the
regular season since 2006, the Patriots will look to pick up their third win of
the season traveling across the country to battle the 2-2 San Francisco 49ers.
New England, missing quarterback Tom Brady has now turned to Matt Cassell to
lead the offense. Wes Welker has yet to score a touchdown for New England. In
three games played, the Patriots offense has scored 58 points, and the defense
has allowed 49. For San Francisco, the 49ers have been solid. Losing at Arizona,
then winning two straight games at Seattle, and at home over Detroit, the 49ers
fell on Sunday 31-17 at New Orleans. Quarterback J.T. O’ Sullivan has thrown for
an average of 240 yards a game for San Francisco. The 49ers are currently in a
tie for first place in the NFC West with Arizona, at 2-2.
Cincinnati Bengals (0-4) @ Dallas Cowboys (3-1)
Time: 4:15pm ET
Spread: Dallas -16
Over/Under: N/A
Preview: Just when it looks like the Cincinnati
Bengals can get out of their losing ways and pick up a game, a horrible second
half forces the Bengals to an 0-4 start. The Bengals have been downed at
Baltimore and at NY Giants, and also at home to Tennessee and Cleveland.
Quarterback Carson Palmer looks to miss his second straight game on Sunday with
an injury to his throwing elbow. The Bengals in their four losses have yielded
87 points, while scoring just 52. With the potential stars in the offense for
Cincinnati, the Bengals are the biggest question mark in the NFL. For Dallas, a
disappointing loss to division Washington ruined their perfect start. In four
games Dallas has scored 120 points, while giving up 89. Quarterback Tony Romo
has completed 90 of 139 passes for 1192 yards and eight touchdowns. Wide
receiver Terrell Owens, and running back Marion Barber have both scored four
touchdowns on the season. Dallas currently is tied in second in the NFC with
Washington at 3-1, trailing the NY Giants, who are 3-0.
Pittsburgh Steelers (3-1) @ Jacksonville Jaguars (2-2)
Time: 8:15pm ET
Spread: Jacksonville -4
Over/Under: N/A
Preview: The Pittsburgh Steelers picked up a huge win last week over the Baltimore Ravens in overtime on Monday Night (where the Bankroll Sports Handicappers hit their third Monday Night Football Pick in a row and their AFC Game of the Month in Baltimore +5). After a very poor first half performance, the Steelers defense made the biggest play of the night causing Joe Flacco to fumble inside his own 20, as the Steelers picked it up and returned in for a touchdown. The Steelers offense has struggled in the early going with Ben Roethlisberger nursing an injury, top running back Willie Parker missing games, and now backup Rashard Mendenhall now out for the year with an injury. The Steelers have scored a total of 77 points in four games, and allowed 58 total points on defense. For Jacksonville, after two losses to start the season, the Jaguars have won two straight games, both courtesy of Josh Scobee game winning field goals. Jacksonville has been outscored 85 to 79 in their first four games. Quarterback David Garrard had his first big game last week, throwing for 236 yards on Sunday in the win over Houston. The Jaguars are currently in 2nd place in the AFC South, at 2-2, trailing the Tennessee Titans who are a surprising 4-0.

Minnesota has lost at Green Bay and at Tennessee. They have also lost at home to Indianapolis. The Vikings picked up their only win of the season at home against Carolina.
