Preview: The last time that we saw the Ravens on the field, Billy Cundiff shanked a 32-yard field goal that might have put them in a position to go to the Super Bowl. Terrell Suggs is out with an Achilles injury though, and that might poke some holes in a defense that ranked No. 3 in the league in sacks with 48. Cincinnati shocked the world by getting into the postseason last year, but it did so by beating up a bad schedule. Remember that the Bengals went 0-4 in games against Baltimore and Pittsburgh, and they went a total of 0-8 against teams that got into the second season last year. Second year men Andy Dalton and AJ Green now have a year under their belt though, and they could both be in line for a big time jump in their stats. If the Cincinnati offense can get anything going against the Ravens, the defense is good enough to shut down Joe Flacco, Ray Rice, and the gang.

Preview: The Chargers and Raiders both know that the AFC West is going to be a tight race this year, and games like this one could decide who ends up winning the division and/or going to the playoffs. Carson Palmer has now had a full offseason with Oakland, and he might be poised to take a big jump this year back to the elite level of quarterbacks. He'll have back Darren McFadden in the backfield, who missed the whole back end of the season, and that's huge considering the fact that he was leading the league in rushing at the time that he got hurt. Head Coach Dennis Allen is raw, but he might be just what Oakland needs to get over the hump and back into the playoffs. Still, the Chargers have the most talented team in the AFC West, though Philip Rivers has lost his favorite target in Vincent Jackson. Robert Meachem has the ability to be a bona fide number one receiver though, and this first game of the year might be the start of something big. The Bolts have really failed defensively of late though, ranking in the bottom half of the league in virtually every single major category in 2011.
