2013 John Deere Classic Predictions & Info
2013 John Deere Classic Dates: Thursday, July 11th – Sunday, July 14th, 2013
2013 John Deere Classic Location: TPC Deere Run, Silvis, IL
Defending John Deere Classic Winner: Zach Johnson
2013 John Deere Classic TV Coverage – Network: Golf Channel, CBS
Steve Stricker (Odds To Win 2013 John Deere Classic: 6.50 to 1 @ 5Dimes Sportsbook) has been absolutely insane at this tournament over the course of the last few years. Stricker shot a -16 last year in this tournament, and the only reason he didn’t win the event is because he shot a relatively terrible -1 on Sunday, losing five shots to the eventual winner on the day. Stricker also has wins in 2009, 2010, and 2011 here in Silvis, and there is no reason to think that he won’t be able to do something remarkable once again come Thursday. The only cause for concern would be that Stricker hasn’t won a tournament yet this year, but he does have a pair of second place finishes and has a total of four finishes of eighth or better in his seven starts. It’s not bad by any stretch of the imagination, and it makes you have to start and end with betting on Stricker at the John Deere Classic.
Not surprisingly, the man that bested Stricker last year, Zach Johnson (John Deere Classic Odds: 16 to 1 @ 5Dimes Sportsbook) is the second favorite on the odds to win the John Deere Classic. Johnson has had a good history playing in this even as well, and though last year was his first win, he always seems to play well on courses that play towards lower scores. Again, the issue that we have with Johnson is that he hasn’t won an event this year, and the only time that he finished in the Top 10 was when he finished third at the Crowne Plaza Invitational against a relatively weak field. This year’s field at the John Deere Classic is weak as well, as there aren’t that many golfers that want to play the week before flying over to the other side of the pond to take on a very tough and very different Muirfield course, but we don’t think that it is ultimately going to make Johnson the winner in at least one out of 16 tries at this tournament.
List Of Past John Deere Classic Winners (Since 2000)
2012 – Zach Johnson
2011 – Steve Stricker
2010 – Steve Stricker
2009 – Steve Stricker
2008 – Kenny Perry
2007 – Jonathan Byrd
2006 – John Senden
2005 – Sean O’Hair
2004 – Mark Hensby
2003 – Vijay Singh
2002 – JP Hayes
2001 – David Gossett
2000 – Michael Clark II
We’re going to go a bit off the board to find the next golfers that we are going to back. Last year, Troy Matteson (Odds To Win The John Deere Classic: 150 to 1 @ 5Dimes Sportsbook) lost at the John Deere Classic in a playoff. He’s back this time around, and he is going to be hoping for a much better performance than he has seen of late. Matteson has missed a ton of cuts this year, and though he has played in gobs of events, his best finish was a 16th place outing at the Waste Management Phoenix Open. Of course, we know that this could all change for Matteson now that he is on one of the easier golf courses on the PGA Tour, and if lightning can strike the same way that it did last year, you never know. There’s no way that we’re not taking 150 to 1 on a man that lost in a playoff on this very same course a season ago.
And that’s why we want to back John Senden (John Deere Classic Lines: 45 to 1 @ 5Dimes Sportsbook) as well. Senden finished three shots off of the pace in the 2012 John Deere Classic, but the difference between him and Matteson is that at least he has played well in a few events this year. No, we haven’t seen Senden break through yet for a victory, but he has a lot of Top 25 finishes under his belt, including finishing 15th at the US Open. The conditions are significantly different this week at the John Deere Classic than they were at Medina at the US Open, so the scores are going to be a whole heck of a lot lower, but if Senden was able to put up such a good fight last year, we have to think that he will be able to do so once again this time around.

2013 AT&T National Odds, Free Golf Picks & Tournament Preview
June 25th, 2013 by | Posted in Golf / PGA Tour Comments Off on 2013 AT&T National Odds, Free Golf Picks & Tournament PreviewThe Tiger Woods Foundation is set to host its annual AT&T National at Congressional Country Club, the site of the 2011 US Open for PGA betting fanatics and aficionados alike. Try to beat the AT&T National betting odds with us here at Bankroll Sports, as we take a look at one of the more illustrious tournaments on the PGA Tour schedule!
Over the course of the last few years, a lot of the best golfers in the world played at Congressional, knowing that the US Open rolled through our nation’s capitol recently. However, the recent winners, Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy are both sitting this tournament out, leaving Adam Scott (Odds To Win 2013 AT&T National: 11.50 to 1 @ SportBet Sportsbook) to be the favorite of the AT&T National. Scott won the Masters this year, but he hasn’t had a Top 10 finish in three games since that point. He was atrocious two weeks ago at the US Open, finishing up at +15 without a single round better than 72. That’s why it’s a bit surprising to see Scott as the favorite on the golf odds this week, though if you look at the rest of the field, you’ll understand why.
2013 AT&T National Predictions & Info
2013 AT&T National Dates: Thursday, June 27th – Sunday, June 30th, 2013
2013 AT&T National Location: Congressional Country Club Blue Course, Bethesda, MD
Defending AT&T National Winner: Tiger Woods
2013 AT&T National TV Coverage – Network: Golf Channel, CBS
The most recent defending champion of this event that is going to be playing starting on Thursday is Nick Watney (AT&T National Odds: 50 to 1 @ SportBet Sportsbook). This isn’t a bad price that on a golfer that has a good history on this golf course, but the form that Watney is in has been terrible. He finished 95th, 116th, and 89th in his last three tournaments, missing the cut in all three tournaments. In fact, over the course of his last nine rounds, he hasn’t put together better than a 70, a number that he broke in six of his prior seven rounds before that point. Watney might be worth considering, but it’s going to take a huge turnaround from what we have seen of late to get him into the winner’s circle this week.
List Of Past AT&T National Winners (Since 2000)
2012 – Tiger Woods
2011 – Nick Watney
2010 – Justin Rose
2009 – Tiger Woods
2008 – Anthony Kim
2007 – KJ Choi
If you’re looking for someone in good form though, the man that you might want to back is Billy Horschel (Odds To Win The AT&T National: 22 to 1 @ SportBet Sportsbook). Very quietly, Horschel has had a great season. He won the Zurich Classic of New Orleans back in the end of April, and he has now logged back to back Top 10 finishes, including finishing tied for fourth at the US Open. This is a very similar type of course to the one at the FedEx St. Jude Classic which Horschel played the week before the US Open though, and he finished tied for 10th in that event. You wouldn’t normally place a bet on a golfer like Horschel, but we have to think that there is at least a 1 in 20 chance that he is going to walk away with the title against a field that is relatively weak in nature.
Hunter Mahan (AT&T National Lines: 17 to 1 @ SportBet Sportsbook) could be in for a nice week as well. He is the third favorite on the golf betting lines this week, and we actually recommended playing him in this tournament last year. He finished tied for eighth against a significantly better field on a course that played very tough that week. Of course, that’s nothing new for Mahan this year. He finished fourth at the US Open by shooting +5 at Meridian, and he followed that up last week by taking 24th at the Travelers Championship. Mahan continues to put together reasonable performance after reasonable performance, and though he hasn’t won this year, he has the disposition to finish things off this week and get that elusive win.

2013 The Memorial Tournament Odds, Picks, Predictions, & Preview
May 27th, 2013 by | Posted in Golf / PGA Tour Comments Off on 2013 The Memorial Tournament Odds, Picks, Predictions, & PreviewJack Nicklaus, arguably the greatest golfer in the history of the sport, created The Memorial Tournament to be able to bring together some of the best golfers in the world in his own backyard. This year the Memorial Tournament field is going to be as tight as it has ever been, and it is up to us to make our Memorial picks to try to be The Memorial odds.
2013 The Memorial Predictions & Info
2013 The Memorial Dates: Thursday, May 30th – Sunday, June 2nd, 2013
2013 The Memorial Location: Muirfield Village Golf Club, Dublin, OH
Defending The Memorial Winner: Tiger Woods
2013 The Memorial TV Coverage – Network: Golf Channel, CBS
As is the case so often in golf betting action, it is seemingly Tiger Woods (Defending The Memorial Champion, The Memorial Odds: 2.20 to 1 at SportBet Sportsbook) against the field. Woods has won this tournament a record five times, including last year when he won by two strokes over a field that really never seemed to be capable of competing against him. In spite of the fact that he hasn’t won a major tournament this year, Tiger has played well everywhere that he has gone. He is the world’s No. 1 ranked player again, and he is ranked No. 1 in virtually every vital statistic involving winning and money. Woods already has four wins on the campaign, including in his most recent start at the PGA Championship, one of the biggest wins that he has had in quite some time.
We really love what Adam Scott (The Memorial Tournament PGA Odds: 20 to 1 @ SportBet Sportsbook) is bringing to the table as well. Scott of course, won the Masters this year, becoming the first Australian to ever claim the Green Jacket. Scott got off to a great start at the TPC at Sawgrass, but he ultimately had a frustrating weekend, shooting 75 and 71. This has been a recurring theme for Scott this year. At the Masters, he had two great rounds over the weekend, but so many times, he has struggled, particularly on Saturdays, and he has averaged just a 71.6 in his five tournaments this year on the second to last day of events. Still, we think that the Aussie has enough to win the Memorial.
List Of Past The Memorial Tournament Winners (Since 2000)
2012 – Tiger Woods
2011 – Steve Stricker
2010 – Justin Rose
2009 – Tiger Woods
2008 – Kenny Perry
2007 – KJ Choi
2006 – Carl Pettersson
2005 – Bart Bryant
2004 – Ernie Els
2003 – Kenny Perry
2002 – Jim Furyk
2001 – Tiger Woods
2000 – Tiger Woods
Kevin Streelman (Odds to Win The Memorial: 95 to 1 @ SportBet Sportsbook) hasn’t won a tournament recently, but he really looks poised to be able to do so in the very near future. This is the man that shocked in the win at the Tampa Bay Championship. However, Streelman really has been impressive seemingly wherever he has gone. He didn’t make the cut at the Crowne Plaza Invitational last week, but aside from that, he has been remarkable. Streelman has finished sixth or better in four tournaments this year, three of which have come since the end of tax season. The Wells Fargo Championship was a very comparable event, and he finished sixth in that tourney. Most impressive though, might have been the second place finish at the TPC at Sawgrass, right behind Woods. If Woods is a 2 to 1 favorite, Streelman probably shouldn’t be nearly 100 to 1.
We’re trusting that at some point, Brandt Snedeker (Odds to Win The Memorial Tournament: 30 to 1 @ SportBet Sportsbook) is going to get back to the form that he was in at the start of the year. Snedeker finished third or better in four of his first five events of the season, but he has finished 59th or worse in three of his last four. However, Snedeker did finish sixth at the Masters a month and a half ago, and he finished eighth at The Players Championship. Snedeker is always one of these golfers that could put together a tremendous tournament, and though he only has five wins on the PGA Tour in his career, this could be his lucky tournament at the Memorial this week.

2013 Players Championship Predictions & Info
2013 TPC at Sawgrass Dates: Thursday, May 9th – Sunday, May 12th, 2013
2013 TPC at Sawgrass Location: The TPC at Sawgrass, Ponta Vedra Beach, FL
Defending TPC at Sawgrass Winner: Matt Kuchar
2013 Players Championship TV Coverage – Network: Golf Channel, NBC
If Tiger Woods (The Players Championship Odds: 6.75 to 1 @ 5Dimes Sportsbook) is in the field, he is going to be the favorite or one of the favorites to win the event. We have seen good things out of Woods thus far this year. He hasn’t played since the 2013 Masters when he finished fourth at -5 in spite of the fact that he didn’t play as well as he truly wanted to. That being said, that’s four Top 5 finishes thus far this year for Woods in just six events played, and he has won three of those four. We’re not quite at the point that Woods is considered the scariest golfer in the world once again at this point, but he certainly has the ability to win each and every time that he is on the course, something that we don’t have the confidence in saying about the mass majority of the golfers that are in this field.
Past The Players Championship Winners (Since 2000)
2012 Players Championship Winner: Matt Kuchar
2011 Players Championship Winner: KJ Choi
2010 Players Championship Winner: Tim Clark
2009 Players Championship Winner: Henrik Stenson
2008 Players Championship Winner: Sergio Garcia
2007 Players Championship: Phil Mickelson
2006 Players Championship: Stephen Ames
2005 Players Championship Winner: Fred Funk
2004 Players Championship Winner: Adam Scott
2003 Players Championship Winner: Davis Love III
2002 Players Championship Winner: Craig Perks
2001 Players Championship Winner: Tiger Woods
2000 Players Championship Winner: Hal Sutton
The man that won the Masters this year, Adam Scott (TPC at Sawgrass Odds: 18 to 1 @ 5Dimes Sportsbook) has to be in consideration as well. We knew that Scott was playing well this year before he went to Augusta, and it was great to see the Aussie come away with the emotional win after making some fantastic shots to win his first Green Jacket and the first Green Jacket for his country. Just as this is the first event since the Masters for Woods, it is the first on the PGA Tour for Scott as well. The Australian has only played in five events prior to the TPC, and he hasn’t finished worse than 30th in any of the stroke play events. Scott has three Top 10 finishes and two finishes in the Top 3, and he has had some massive rounds on Saturday and Sunday over the course of this season. The back to back -3s at the Masters was remarkable over the weekend, but perhaps even more impressive was the 64 on the final day of the Cadillac Championship that nearly brought him all the way up for the win.
There is a point that Luke Donald (The Players Championship Lines: 20 to 1 @ 5Dimes Sportsbook) will get back on his feet and contend for one of the major titles on the PGA Tour. He picked up a Top 25 finish at the Masters, but a +2 finish isn’t nearly what he was thinking when he stepped foot on the links at Augusta. He did finish third at the RBC Heritage the week after the Masters. It wasn’t good enough to win, but it was a Top 5 finish, Donald’s second in his last three starts on the PGA. Donald finished sixth last year four shots off of the pace of the winner, and he is going to hope to do the job this week at Sawgrass.
The man that is going to try to defend his title this year at Ponta Vedra is Matt Kuchar (The Players Championship Betting Odds: 30 to 1 @ 5Dimes Sportsbook). No one ever won back to back tournaments here at the TPC, and the closest thing that we have seen is when Jack Nicklaus won in 1974, 1976, and 1978. Kuchar though, has had a special few seasons, and he has to be considered in a running if he can avoid putting the ball in the drink on 17. Kuchar has never won a major tournament title, and last year’s win was an emotional one for sure. His family was on hand for the proceedings, and there was never a doubt that it was the biggest moment in his career. This year, Kuchar won the Accenture Match Play Championship over Hunter Mahan 2 and 1, and he played well at the Masters, finishing tied for eighth. If there is a man to go back to back in the Sunshine State, Kuchar is the man.

2013 WGC Cadillac Championship Odds Doral Preview, Picks
March 5th, 2013 by | Posted in Golf / PGA Tour Comments Off on 2013 WGC Cadillac Championship Odds Doral Preview, PicksThe PGA Tour is back with yet another great stop for the 2013 golf season. On March 6th-9th, the tour heads to Doral, Florida, where some of the best golfers in the world will get together for the 2013 Cadillac Championship. Check out the odds to win the Cadillac Championship, which can be found at the bottom of this post.
With the limited field allowed at this WGC event, there is no doubt that the golf odds are going to be a bit lower than they normally are. Those the odds might change, the names certainly don’t. It’s still clear that Tiger Woods (Cadillac Championship Odds: 9.50 to 1 @ Sportbet Sportsbook) is expected to be the man of the hour at Doral, a tournament that isn’t played all that far from his own backyard. Woods was the inaugural winner of this event in 1999, and he has gone on to win in six times. However he hasn’t been the triumphant one since the 2007 season, and five different golfers have claimed the title since that point. Woods does look a lot better at this point this year than he has this early in the year in most of the last three years, so perhaps he has a good chance to claim the title at the Cadillac Championship, but we aren’t 100% convinced that he is going to be able to go the distance for the 72 holes against a field this strong.
2013 Cadillac Championship Predictions & Info
2013 Cadillac Championship Dates: Thursday, March 6th – Sunday March 9th, 2013
2013 Cadillac Championship Location: TPC Blue Monster, Doral, FL
Defending Cadillac Championship Winner: Justin Rose
2013 Cadillac Championship TV Coverage – Network: Golf Channel, NBC
The interesting story to follow this week is going to be that of Rory McIlroy (PGA Tour Odds: 20 to 1 @ Sportbet Sportsbook). Last year, McIlroy was the 5 to 1 favorite on the odds to win the Cadillac Championship, and even had this tournament been played prior to last week, he probably wouldn’t have been much more than 12 to 1 or so, if even that. The Northern Ireland native though, has a demon hanging over his head right now, though. He was playing terrible golf last week at the Honda Classic when he literally just walked off of the court and told the media that he wasn’t in the right mindset to be playing golf at that point. Has his mental game improved over the course of the last week? McIlroy had better hope so, because he doesn’t even have a cut line this week to worry about, and he’ll be forced to go the full 72 holes even if he isn’t on his game.
List Of Past Cadillac Championship Winners
2012 – Justin Rose
2011 – Nick Watney
2010 – Ernie Els
2009 – Phil Mickelson
2008 – Geoff Ogilvy
2007 – Tiger Woods
2006 – Tiger Woods
2005 – Tiger Woods
2004 – Ernie Els
2003 – Tiger Woods
2002 – Tiger Woods
2001 – No Tournament
2000 – Mike Weir
1999 – Tiger Woods
Last year’s champ, Justin Rose (Odds to Win The Cadillac Championship: 17 to 1 @ Sportbet Sportsbook) is always a threat to put together a big time round of golf. It’s amazing to think that Rose is only 33 years old, and it is almost just as amazing to think that he only has four PGA Tour wins to his credit. However, he is consistently one of the best golfers in the world and is always a man to watch out for. He hasn’t won since winning last year at Doral, but he does have four big time tournaments under his belt, two from 2010 (Memorial & AT&T National) and one from 2011 (BMW Championship) as well. We think that this might be the best value on the board right now of all of the 70 golfers that are playing.
Last season, Bubba Watson (WGC Cadillac Championship Odds: 30 to 1 @ Sportbet Sportsbook) came up just short of winning at the Blue Monster. He finished a stroke back of Rose and was in contention the whole way. This is one of the budding golfers on the PGA Tour, and he has proven that he can win in the clutch when it matters most. Watson has three wins in playoffs in his career, including last year at the Masters when he outdueled Louis Oosthuizen to claim his first major tournament and the Green Jacket. Watson also finished in the Top 25 both in the Open Championship (23rd) and the PGA Championship (11th), and we have to think that he has a shot to be in contention come Sunday at Doral as well.

AT&T National Odds: Pebble Beach Pro-Am Picks, Predictions, Odds
February 5th, 2013 by | Posted in Golf / PGA Tour Comments Off on AT&T National Odds: Pebble Beach Pro-Am Picks, Predictions, OddsComplete List Of Current 2013 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am Odds Can Be Found Below
Any time the PGA Tour heads to Pebble Beach, you know that it is going to be a big weekend on the links. In one of the more fun events of the year, the top golfers and some of the more notable amateurs in the world will take on the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am odds and try to become the 2013 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am winner!
After his remarkable performance last week at the Waste Management Phoenix Open, the man that is clearly the favorite to win this week once again is Phil Mickelson (Current Pebble Beach Pro Am Odds: 6 to 1 @ SportBet / 100% Bonus if you click here). Lefty came out of the blocks firing a 60 last week in Phoenix, and he never looked back, ultimately shooting a whopping -28 to get the job done and claim his first tournament victory of 2013. This was the second time that Mickelson came out this year and fired a ridiculously low score, as he put up three rounds in the 60s in his first tourney of the year as well. It certainly looks like this is a man on a mission right now, and there is no doubt that Mickelson is going to have the goods to win anywhere he goes until further notice.

Defending AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am Champion: Phil Mickelson
2013 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am TV Coverage – Network: Golf Channel, CBS
A man that has played incredibly good golf this year but hasn’t gotten that elusive victory quite yet is Brandt Snedeker (Odds To Win Pebble Beach Pro Am: 12.50 to 1 @ SportBet / 100% Bonus if you click here). Snedeker was the runner up last week behind Mickelson, shooting a -24. It was nothing to be ashamed of, nor was the fact that he ended up at -10 in the Farmers Insurance Open a week prior to that. There hasn’t been a tournament this year that Snedeker has entered that he hasn’t finished with at least a -10, and he has a whopping 12 rounds of golf out of his last 13 that have been in the 60s or better. Scores figure to be relatively low this week at Pebble Beach, and that has to play right into the hands of Snedeker, as he goes in search of his first win of the year after two second place finishes and a third place finish already this season.
List Of Past AT&T Pro Am (Pebble Beach) Winners (Since 2000)
2012 AT&T National Pebble Beach Pro Am Winner: Phil Mickelson
2011 AT&T National Pebble Beach Pro Am Winner: DA Points
2010 AT&T National Pebble Beach Pro Am Winner: Dustin Johnson
2009 AT&T National Pebble Beach Pro Am Winner: Dustin Johnson
2008 AT&T National Pebble Beach Pro Am Winner: Steve Lowery
2007 AT&T National Pebble Beach Pro Am Winner: Phil Mickelson
2006 AT&T National Pebble Beach Pro Am Winner: Arron Oberholser
2005 AT&T National Pebble Beach Pro Am Winner: Phil Mickelson
2004 AT&T National Pebble Beach Pro Am Winner: Vijay Singh
2003 AT&T National Pebble Beach Pro Am Winner: Davis Love III
2002 AT&T National Pebble Beach Pro Am Winner: Matt Gogel
2001 AT&T National Pebble Beach Pro Am Winner: Davis Love III
2000 AT&T National Pebble Beach Pro Am Winner: Tiger Woods
In 2010 and 2009, Dustin Johnson (Current Pebble Beach Pro Am Odds: 8.50 to 1 @ SportBet / 100% Bonus if you click here) was the winner of this event. We’re wary of backing Johnson at this point in an event, knowing that he has had back to back terrible starts, including the fact that he withdrew from the Sony Open in Hawaii four weeks ago. However, the history here at Pebble Beach is undeniable for the youngster out of South Carolina. Johnson already has two wins here on this course, and he has a history of really playing well in California in general. Remember that Johnson did start out the year as well winning at the Hyundai Tournament of Champions, and he could very well challenge for his second title this weekend at Pebble Beach, too.
He’s never won an event in his PGA Tour career, but we’re willing to take a stab this week on Charlie Wi (Odds To Win 2013 Pebble Beach Pro Am: 75 to 1 @ SportBet / 100% Bonus if you click here). We know that this is nothing more than a gut shot play here on the Korean-born golfer, as he has never won before playing with the big boys. However, he has really carded some respectable results thus far in 2013, not the least of which was the fact that he shot a 63 in the second round last week in Phoenix. Wi doesn’t have a Top 20 finish yet this year, but he does have a pair of finishes in the 30s, and that should serve him well this week. The time is coming when Wi is going to win his first PGA Tour event, and Pebble Beach has been the home of a lot of upset results in the past. It’s like looking for a needle in a haystack, but Wi’s needle is definitely shining a bit brighter to us than most are.
