Cleveland at Pittsburgh (-7, 44) 1:00 PM EST
The Pittsburgh Steelers (7-8 SU, 8-7 ATS) need some help but could sneak into the playoffs with a win over Cleveland (4–11 SU, 6–9–1 ATS) and a loss by the Ravens, Dolphins, and Chargers. Pittsburgh won their previous meeting in week 12 27–11.

Washington at New York (N) (-3.5, 45.5) 1:00 PM EST
The Washington Redskins (3–12 SU, 5–10 ATS) and New York Giants face off in the final regular-season matchup. The Giants (6–9 SU, 6–9 ATS) won their previous meeting 24–17 in week 13.

Baltimore at Cincinnati (-5.5, 44.5) 1:00 PM EST
The Baltimore (8-7 SU, 7-7-1 ATS) and Cincinnati Bengals meet in an AFC North tilt. Cincinnati (10-5 SU, 9-5-1 ATS) clinched the division with Baltimore losing last weekend. Cincinnati can clinch a first-round bye with a win and a loss by the New England Patriots. Baltimore can clinch a playoff berth with a win in a loss by San Diego or Miami.

Jacksonville at Indianapolis (-11.5, 45.5) 1:00 PM EST
The Jacksonville Jaguars (4–11 SU, 6–9 ATS) will take on the Indianapolis Colts from Lucas Oil Stadium. Indianapolis (10-5 SU, 8-6-1 ATS) can clinch a first round bye with a win and a loss by both Cincinnati and New England.

New York (A) at Miami (-6.5, 41) 1:00 PM EST
The New York Jets (7-8 SU, 9-6 ATS) will be looking to spoil the Miami Dolphins’ (8-7 SU, 9-6 ATS) postseason plans. Miami can clinch a playoff berth with a win and a Baltimore loss, or a win in a San Diego win. The Dolphins won the previous match up to 3–3 at New York.

Carolina (NL) at Atlanta 1:00 PM EST
The Carolina Panthers (11-4 SU, 10-5 ATS) will look to lock up the NFC South division and the #2 seed with a win over the Atlanta Falcons (4-11 SU, 6-9 ATS). The Panthers can also clinch the #1 seed with a win combined with a Seattle loss and a San Francisco win.

Detroit at Minnesota (-3, 51.5) 1:00 PM EST
The Detroit Lions (7-8 SU, 6-9 ATS) will look to finish the season above .500 as they take on the Minnesota Vikings (4-10-1 SU, 8-7 ATS). The Lions won their previous matchup in week 1 34–24.

Tampa Bay at New Orleans (-12.5, 47) 1:00 PM EST

The New Orleans Saints (10-5, SU, 7-8 ATS) can clinch a playoff spot with a win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (4-11 SU, 6-9 ATS). They can clinch the NFC South title with a win and a Carolina loss. The Saints won the previous meeting this season 14–12.

Buffalo at New England (-9, 47) 4:25 PM EST
The New England Patriots (11–4 SU, 8-7 ATS) will look to clinch a first round bye when they host the Buffalo Bills (6–9 SU, 8-7 ATS). New England can also clinch the #1 seed with a win and a Denver loss.

Green Bay at Chicago (NL) 4:25 PM EST
The Green Bay Packers (7-7-1 SU, 5-10 ATS) will travel to Soldier Field to take on the Chicago Bears (8-7 SU, 4-9-2 ATS) to determine the NFC North winner. There is still no word on who will get the start at quarterback for the Packers.

Denver (-11.5, 53.5) at Oakland 4:25 PM EST
The Denver Broncos (12–3 SU, 9–6 ATS) can clinch the #1 seed with a win over Oakland (4–11 SU, 8–7 ATS) or a loss by the New England Patriots. Denver clinched the AFC West title last week, as Peyton Manning broke the single-season touchdown mark against Houston. Terrell Pryor will reportedly get the start at quarterback for Oakland.

Kansas City at San Diego (-10, 45) 4:25 PM EST

Kansas City (11–4 SU, 8–7 ATS) has locked up the #5 seed, yet San Diego (8-7 SU, 8-6-1 ATS) needs a win and some help to sneak into the playoffs. The Chargers can get into the playoffs as the #6 seed with a win or a tie and a Miami and Baltimore loss.

San Francisco (-1) at Arizona 4:25 PM EST
San Francisco (11–4 SU, 9–5-1 ATS) clinched a playoff berth with a win over Atlanta last Monday night. They can clinch a #2 seed and the NFC West crown with a win and a Seattle loss. Arizona (10-5 SU, 9-4-2 ATS) can clinch a playoff berth with either a win or a tie combined with a New Orleans loss.

St. Louis at Seattle (NL) 4:25 PM EST
The Seattle Seahawks (12-3 SU, 10-5 ATS) will look to clinch the NFC West and the #1 seed with a win over the St. Louis Rams (7-8 SU, 7-8 ATS). Seattle lost their first home game since December of 2011 last week being upset by Arizona 17-10.

Philadelphia (-6.5, 52.5) at Dallas 8:30 PM EST
The Philadelphia Eagles (9-6 SU, 8-6-1 ATS) will take on the Dallas Cowboys (8-7 SU, 8-7 ATS) to determine the winner of the NFC East. Reports have surfaced that Tony Romo is out for the season, yet nothing is definitive yet. If Romo does not make the start, Kyle Orton will get the start for the Cowboys.

Cowboys vs. RedskinsWeek 17 of the 2012 NFL campaign is going to get underway this weekend. Below you will find the current list of 2012 Week 17 NFL lines and spreads along with a breakdown of the Week 17 NFL odds. Be sure to check out the free NFL picks from the expert handicappers at Bankroll Sports this week…

There are only a total of 12 of the 16 games that are on the board as of Monday morning that we are able to dissect here at Bankroll Sports, but most of the games that are off the board are very questionable as to how they are being handled by some teams.

The Houston Texans and the Indianapolis Colts are both very much so up in the air with how things are going to go on Sunday. Houston knows that it is playing for the top seed in the AFC playoffs, while the Colts are playing for nothing but getting ready for the playoffs. It is still unknown how hard Indy is going to try to win this game, knowing that it is going on the road either to Baltimore or New England regardless of what happens in this one, but it is still going to be the first game that Head Coach Chuck Pagano is on the sidelines for his team since early on in the campaign.

It is equally suspect how the Pittsburgh Steelers are going to handle their Week 17 game now that their season is over against the Cleveland Browns, who are dealing with a questionable QB Brandon Weeden, who got hurt last week with a shoulder problem. Weeden isn’t the only starting quarterback that is up in the air due to injury, as the Oakland Raiders lost QB Carson Palmer last week to a rib injury and is very much so up in the air. That’s keep the Raiders and the San Diego Chargers off the board in the final game for Head Coach Norv Turner and GM AJ Smith with the Bolts.

The Atlanta Falcons and Tampa Bay Buccaneers are off the board, knowing that Atlanta is likely resting its starter and Tampa Bay has to be ready to sit down QB Josh Freeman after he has thrown eight picks in his last two games combined.

It shouldn’t be considered all that much of a surprise that there are some absolutely huge favorites in Week 17 with some teams that have all to play for against others that are probably better served losing to try to improve their stock in the NFL Draft. The biggest of the favs is the Denver Broncos. The Broncos have rolled to wins in each of their last 10 games to get to 12-3, and they need to win to lock up a first round bye in the playoffs. They’re taking on the Kansas City Chiefs, who need to lose to win the No. 1 pick in the NFL Draft. KC is a 16-point underdog, making it the biggest underdog on the campaign.

The San Francisco 49ers are favored by 15 over the Arizona Cardinals in a game that has to be won to take down the NFC West title. If by chance Arizona pulls off the upset, the door opens for the Seattle Seahawks, who are the hottest team in football at the moment with 150 points scored in their last three games. Seattle isn’t likely to move up from the No. 5 seed, but just the possibility that the Niners could lose parlayed with the fact that the club is playing so well would clearly make Head Coach Pete Carroll think twice about putting anyone on the bench for this game. That’s why the Seahawks, playing at home, are favored by 10.5 in spite of the fact that their foes, the St. Louis Rams are playing well at the moment.

The New England Patriots are trying to move up in the AFC playoff picture from the No. 3 seed, and they are taking on the Miami Dolphins in Week 17 in a 4:25 ET kickoff. The Fins are getting 10.5 in spite of the fact that this is their equivalent of the Super Bowl. These two teams played a very tight encounter a few weeks ago in South Beach, but since that point, New England has been rolling, and it doesn’t look like it is going to be stopped in this one. The other massive favorties are the New York Giants at -9.5 against the Philadelphia Eagles in what should be the final game for Head Coach Andy Reid in the City of Brotherly Love.

These aren’t nearly the only important games of the weekend, though. The Sunday Night Football game between the Dallas Cowboys and the Washington Redskins will determine which team is going to win the NFC East. The Skins, playing at home, are favored by the value of home field advantage at -3 in what should be one of the biggest games of the entire season. Meanwhile, the Chicago Bears are -3.5 in a do or die game against the Detroit Lions.

Of course, the Chicago game means absolutely nothing if the Minnesota Vikings figure out how to take down the Green Bay Packers at 4:25 p.m. ET. The Pack are the favored side at -3.5, but we have to remember that the Vikes were the big time underdogs in Week 16 against the Texans as well. This one is at home, and if it is won by Minnesota, it sets up a clash between these same two teams in all likelihood next week at Lambeau Field in the first round of the playoffs.

The Buffalo Bills are favored by 3.5 at home against the dysfunctional New York Jets in a battle to stay out of the gutter in the AFC East. The Cincinnati Bengals are giving three to the Baltimore Ravens. Baltimore can still move up in the AFC playoff picture with a win and a New England loss, but largely, this game means nothing to a pair of teams that are going to be playing next week in the first round of the playoffs in the AFC. Four points is the NFL point spread for the Tennessee Titans over the Jacksonville Jaguars, while the New Orleans Saints are favored by 4.5 at home against the Carolina Panthers. This battle of two hot teams is featuring the highest ‘total’ of the week at 54 to boot. There are no games at this point that feature ‘totals’ below 41.5, but that will likely change as the week wears on. Keep it locked right here to Bankroll Sports for the Week 17 odds that are listed just below this post that we will keep updated throughout the week.

Week 17 sometimes isn’t the sexiest week on the NFL betting slate, but it is still a great time to make some money, especially in the games that mean the most to teams that are really trying hard to improve their playoff positioning or to carry some momentum into next year.

The game that we are going to start off with is the Sunday Night Football duel between the St. Louis Rams and the Seattle Seahawks. These two teams are playing in a de facto play in game for the postseason, as the winner will claim the NFC West title, while the loser will be left home from the second season. The Rams are probably the better of the two teams, but flying up to Qwest Field and winning a game isn’t going to be an easy task for whomever the No. 5 seed would be in the playoffs, let alone for the Rams, who are still below .500 at this point in the year. However, what we’re not so sure of is whether QB Matt Hasselbeck will be the man under center or not this week. He injured his hip last week against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and isn’t expected to practice all week, and if he can’t go, QB Charlie Whitehurst is going to be forced under center, where he has been awful all season long. That’s why St. Louis is a slight one point favorite on the NFL odds.

The Indianapolis Colts are in a situation where they just have to win to get into the second season, and they are tremendous favorites to do so against the Tennessee Titans, a team that they dominated but couldn’t beat the pro football odds against just three weeks ago. Now, Indy knows that RB Dominic Rhodes and RB Joseph Addai can give it a shot in the arm in the ground game, which might make it even more dominating. The Titans know that they are just trying to play the spoiler role, but they are 9.5 point underdogs to pull off the upset.

The AFC North title is on the line in Cleveland and Baltimore this weekend. Should the Pittsburgh Steelers knock off the Cleveland Browns at the Dawg Pound, they would get the job done and earn a first round bye in the playoffs. There’s a big question whether S Troy Polamalu is going to be playing in this one, and if he doesn’t, Cleveland has proven that it can score points and move the pigskin against even the best defenses in the NFL. Don’t be shocked if the six point pups do some damage.

If that’s what happens, the Baltimore Ravens hold their own destiny in the AFC North race. Baltimore needs a win and a Pittsburgh loss to get the job done, something that isn’t going to happen easily. A loss to the Cincinnati Bengals earlier this season might prove to ultimately be the difference between the Ravens playing a home game in the second round of the playoffs and needing to win on the road three times to make it to the Super Bowl. The combination of some revenge and the fact that the division title could still be had makes the Ravens a hefty 10 point favorite on Sunday. However, remember that the Bengals knocked the San Diego Chargers out of the playoffs last week at home as 7.5 point dogs, so the possibility of an upset is there.

The NFC playoff race still has a lot of odds and ends to sort out for the two Wild Card spots, and we will be sure to discuss this later in the week. The only game that is on the Week 17 rotation schedule right now with any effect on the Wild Card chase is the duel between the New York Giants and the Washington Redskins. Simply put, this is a must win game for New York, which knows that it put itself in a major bind with a 45-17 loss at the Green Bay Packers in Week 16. The Redskins have been feisty, just as they were last week with an upset against the Jacksonville Jaguars on the road. They’re only 3.5 point home dogs in this divisional rivalry to end the regular season.

The newest addition to the NFL lines of the most note is the clash between the Chicago Bears and the Green Bay Packers. Green Bay is perhaps the luckiest team in the NFL right now, as it gets to host the men from the Windy City with very little to play for. Instead of needing this one for a first round bye, the Bears clinched no worse than the No. 2 seed in the playoffs with the Philadelphia Eagles’ loss on Tuesday Night Football to the Minnesota Vikings. Yes, Chicago could get up to the No. 1 seed, but it would take a small miracle for that to happen. The oddsmakers aren’t expected the Bears to really care much about this one, as they are 10 point underdogs. The win for Green Bay would eliminate both the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who are +7.5 at the New Orleans Saints on Sunday, and the New York Giants.
