Andre JohnsonIt should be quite the interesting week of NFL betting action in Week 7, as some of the top teams in the league square off against one another with playoff positioning firmly being on the line. Don’t miss our look at the Week 7 odds and all of the NFL betting lines for this week.

There’s no game on the board this week that is more important than the clash between the Indianapolis Colts and the Denver Broncos. Simply put, this is the biggest regular season game that the Colts have played since moving to Baltimore. They are taking on their former QB Peyton Manning, a legend in Indianapolis and a man for whom many teenagers are named for both in Indiana and in Tennessee. You won’t find a more loved man in the city that doesn’t currently play for the Colts, and there is going to be a huge tribute to Manning for what he did in Indy prior to this game. It should be emotional for sure, and we expect that Manning is going to be in his element playing in his old home. The Broncos, who have the best team in football right now, are -6.5 in this one, and that makes them the second biggest road favorites of the weekend. This game also features a ‘total’ of 56, the highest of the weekend.

The other road favorites of note and substance this weekend are the San Diego Chargers and the Seattle Seahawks. The Seahawks take on the Arizona Cardinals on Thursday Night Football this week, while the Bolts are going against the winless (and hapless) Jacksonville Jaguars. Seattle is giving 5.5 in this one, which is a far cry from the 58-0 score that these two teams played to last year. Don’t be shocked if this one is about some payback in the NFC West, as the Cards can get within just one game of the division lead if they can pull off this shocker. Jacksonville meanwhile, is the biggest home underdog of the weekend, as it is a 7.5-point pup. However, with the Chargers flying across the country and playing at 10:00 AM local time game the week after playing on Monday Night Football, the deck is stacked in favor of the hosts. If there was ever a game in which Jacksonville was going to beat a good team, this would be the game.

And then there are some games this weekend that just look flat out weird. The San Francisco 49ers are only laying four on the road against the Tennessee Titans, who are still using QB Ryan Fitzpatrick at quarterback. Meanwhile, the Carolina Panthers are -6.5 and bordering on -7 at home against the St. Louis Rams in a battle of teams that, at least on paper, look relatively comparable. The Washington Redskins have a significantly worse record than the Chicago Bears, and the argument could be made that these two teams will finish nowhere near each other this year. However, off of their bye week, QB Robert Griffin III and the Redskins are only a pick ’em at home against Chicago, insinuating that this could be the best game of the day on the Week 7 betting lines. Perhaps the oddest of the odd? The New York Jets are only +3.5 at home against the New England Patriots, who feel like they should be favored by at least a TD in this one.

Not every game is complete lopsided by looks, though. The Houston Texans are in desperate need of a victory, and they are going to try to snap their four-game losing streak against the unbeaten Kansas City Chiefs. The Chiefs just broke the record for the loudest crowd road ever at an NFL game at 137.7 dB, and you know that this is going to be amped up for this game against the two-time defending AFC South champs. QB Matt Schaub is highly suspect at this point, and he is questionable for this game with a leg injury. The Houston offense needs any spark that it can get. The Texans are sharp for sure, and they are +6.5 on the road at Arrowhead. This game features the lowest ‘total’ of the day at 39.5, and it is one of the four games on the docket with ‘totals’ of 41 or lower, making it the lowest scoring week by average ‘total’ in NFL betting action this year.

The Detroit Lions and the Cincinnati Bengals were both laughing stocks for a number of years, but now, they are both division leaders with a chance to really put their foot down in their respective divisions. The Bengals are on the road at Ford Field, where they are getting 2.5, though Detroit is still wondering if it is going to have its best offensive weapon, WR Calvin Johnson ready to go in this game.

The Philadelphia Eagles are -2.5 at home with QB Nick Foles calling the shots against the Dallas Cowboys in a game where first place is on the line in the NFC East. The Miami Dolphins are -7.5 at home against the Buffalo Bills, who could be starting either QB Thad Lewis or the newly acquired QB Matt Flynn under center this week. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are getting 7.5 against the Atlanta Falcons, who also have injury problems the likes of which you wouldn’t believe. When he gets in the huddle on Sunday, the only skill player that might be looking back at QB Matt Ryan that was starting the season in that huddle is TE Tony Gonzalez. WR Roddy White, WR Julio Jones, and RB Steven Jackson all expect to be sitting this one out.

In the 4:00 ET hour, the Pittsburgh Steelers are trying to salvage their season, something that they will be able to accomplish if they can beat the NFL betting lines against the Baltimore Ravens. The Steelers are -2.5 at home against the defending Super Bowl champs. Elsewhere, the Green Bay Packers, even without LB Clay Matthews and WR Randall Cobb, are -10.5 at home against the Cleveland Browns.

Sadly, the worst game of the week is probably the Monday Night Football game. The winless New York Giants are favored by 3.5 to get their first victory of the campaign against the one-win Minnesota Vikings, who are going to be starting QB Josh Freeman, marking their third starting quarterback thus far in six games on the season.

LSU StadiumWeek 7 of the college football schedule is out, and here at Bankroll Sports, we are looking at all of the best NCAA football odds and the college football betting lines on the board for what should be quite the interesting week on the gridiron.

Thursday and Friday night college football games haven’t exactly been stellar over the course of the last few weeks, and the showcase game this Thursday probably isn’t all that much of an exception. We all know that the Arizona State Sun Devils are going to blow the doors off of the Colorado Buffaloes even though the game is in Boulder. As it turns out, this is one of the biggest NCAA football point spreads of the weekend, as ASU is getting the nod by 23 points. Also on Thursday, the Tulsa Golden Hurricane are laying 16.5 to the UTEP MIners, while the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers are -3 against the Troy Trojans on the road.

Friday features one standalone game on the Week 7 schedule, pitting the Central Michigan Chippewas against the Navy Midshipmen. This isn’t exactly the sexiest game in the world, as both of these teams are 2-3, and there is a real possibility that neither will ultimately make it to a bowl game this year. However, it’s a game no less, and it could be an interesting one for fans of the ground game. Central Michigan is laying 2.5 at home against the Middies.

This past Saturday was one for upsets, and this week really might not be all that much of an exception with so many massive teams going on the road. In fact, teams that are ranked 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 10, 11, 17, 18, and 22 are all on the road, and that doesn’t include the fact that the Texas Longhorns and Oklahoma Sooners — Nos. 15 and 13 respectively — are playing each other on a neutral field.

Yes, this week is the annual Red River Rivalry game in Dallas, and it should stay true to form as one of the most important games of the year. These two teams absolutely despise each other, and they know that the loser of this one may as well forget about the rest of the year, as the team will end up in the Alamo Bowl or something of the sorts, and not the significantly more illustrious Fiesta Bowl or better. Oklahoma is perceived to be the better of these two teams right now, getting the nod as three-point favorites, but there aren’t many that would be all that surprised if the Longhorns turned out to be the better of the two teams as well.

The top ranked team in the land, the Alabama Crimson Tide are back in action off of their bye week, and they are one of these very rare teams that are going on the road and are favored by a ton. There’s no reason to think that Alabama won’t roll to a victory of at least 21.5-points no matter who they are playing or where they are playing. The fact of the matter is that this is going to be a rude wakeup call for the Missouri Tigers at home. The ‘Zou has already been beaten both by the Georgia Bulldogs and the Vanderbilt Commodores at home, and now, it is about to get its first taste of the definition of big boy football when the Crimson Tide come to town.

Meanwhile, the Florida Gators, who chime in at No. 4 in the land after their upset of the LSU Tigers, are only laying 7.5 to those aforementioned Commodores in a game that is a brutal potential trap for the men in orange and blue. Not only is Florida coming off of that big win at home, but this one is on the road, and it comes on the heels of the two biggest games of the year against the South Carolina Gamecocks and the Georgia Bulldogs.

Florida isn’t nearly the only road team that could be on upset alert this week, as we have already discussed. The USC Trojans are laying 12.5 to the Washington Huskies at CenturyLink Field in an emotional game against former OC Steve Sarkisian. The West Virginia Mountaineers and their Heisman Trophy frontrunner, QB Geno Smith, are -5 on the road against the Texas Tech Red Raiders. The Kansas State Wildcats are definitely on upset alert at -7 against the Iowa State Cyclones. Also, in one of the more intriguing games of the day, the Texas A&M Aggies are -8 on the road against the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs. This is a battle of Top 25 teams that are hoping to crack the BCS this year, and ironically, it is La Tech that has the better shot of doing so. This might be the last game this year in which the Bulldogs are underdogs, and winning this one and running through the WAC sets up the chance for them to get into the BCS as a Top 12 team in the rankings.

There are a few ranked teams that are going to be on the road that are expected to lose, though. We’ll start with the Oregon State Beavers, who are surging like no other team in America this year. They opened up as three-point underdogs against the BYU Cougars in Provo, and that came before the news that QB Sean Mannion was going to miss the game injured. That leaves Head Coach Mike Riley and the gang in a world of hurt. At the moment, the game is still off the board, but when it comes back, we fully expect to see BYU favored by at least a touchdown.

Another team in the Pac-12, the Stanford Cardinal, are getting 8.5 from the Notre Dame Fighting Irish in South Bend. Stanford hopes that it has the answers for a Notre Dame defense that just is not allowing touchdown under seemingly any circumstance. QB Josh Nunes doesn’t figure to have all that much success against this unit, which is why he and his Cardinal are such sizeable underdogs on Saturday afternoon.

But of course, the cream of the crop this week is back in the SEC. The South Carolina Gamecocks are on the road against the LSU Tigers in one of the most important games of the year in the conference. The Tigers are coming off of their loss to another SEC East foe from Gainesville, and they know that this is now absolutely a must-win game to stay alive in the SEC West and the BCS National Championship race. South Carolina knows that this is a chance to prove once and for all, that it can legitimately challenge the Alabama Crimson Tide at the top of the SEC this year, but this is the continuation of just a brutal schedule. South Carolina passed the first test at home against the Georgia Bulldogs, but now it gets LSU on the road and Florida on the road in back to back weeks. The Bayou Bengals are -3 at the open, and this is expected to be one heck of a close game.

This week, there are a substantial number of teams that are favored by at least 20 points, but none are favored by more than the Florida State Seminoles are against the Boston College Eagles. FSU is favored by 28 coming off of its shocking loss to the NC State Wolfpack. The garnet and gold are one of the eight teams this week that are getting the nod by at least three TDs, but none are expected more to win — or, frankly need more to win by a huge margin — than does Florida State back in front of its hometown crowd for the first time in three weeks.

On the other side of the coin, there are plenty of games this week in which the NCAA football point spread is a field goal or less. There is one game on Thursday, one on Friday, and another 14 on Saturday in whcih the spread is 3.5 or fewer, and that is proving that once again, this should be a fittingly close week of college football betting action.

2011 NFL Prop Picks – Week 7 Fantasy Football Sleepers

Fantasy Football picks are here at Bankroll Sports this year, and we are going to try to make the most of your NFL props betting options at BoDog Sportsbook by giving you some of the best fantasy football sleepers in Week 7!

Dallas Cowboys Defense/Special Teams vs. St. Louis Rams
This is bad, bad news for the Rams. They have to go on the road, and they aren’t going to have a fully healthy QB Sam Bradford to show for it. Bradford has been walking around in a protective boot thanks to a high ankle sprain, and he hasn’t been practicing all that much. That being said, the team just traded for WR Brandon Lloyd, who will surely have some rust with his new team in spite of the fact that he played in the system for Offensive Coordinator Josh McDaniels with the Broncos last year. Parlay all of that together with the fact that Dallas blitzes like there’s no tomorrow, and the end result could be some huge fantasy points for this team defense. The Rams rank dead last in the league in fantasy offense this year, making the Cowboys an even better play than usual

Michael Bush vs. Kansas City Chiefs
We know that all eyes are going to be on RB Darren McFadden in this one, but there is a real chance that Bush could be the back to steal against the Chiefs. Kansas City ranks No. 27 in the league against fantasy rushers. With QB Carson Palmer expected to start, we know that the Raiders are going to run the ball, run the ball, and run the ball some more. Bush could find himself getting 15-20 touches in this game even if McFadden gets 20-25, but more importantly could be those goal line carries, which there might be plenty of. Look for Bush to score for the first time in three weeks and get 60 or 70 total yards as well.

Tim Tebow vs. Miami Dolphins
Let’s get this one thing straight… The Broncos aren’t winning all that many games this year if they keep Tebow under center. That being said, there’s just no way that we can avoid using him in this matchup. First off, the man is going to run like a chicken with his head cut off, and he is never going to stop. Getting 70 or 80 rushing yards isn’t out of the question, nor are two rushing touchdowns. Secondly, he’s going against a Miami defense which ranks second to last in the league against fantasy quarterbacks. And finally, it’s a day where he and his Florida Gators teammates from 2009 are going to be honored by the Dolphins. Good timing for that one, guys. Oops. It won’t quite be Denver, but it’ll feel like home for Tebow, and we think that three total touchdowns and over 250 total yards isn’t out of the question in his first game as a starter this year.

Ed Dickson vs. Jacksonville Jaguars
Dickson might be a great starter on Monday Night Football this week. QB Joe Flacco is averaging looking Dickson’s way nearly nine times per game this year, and a lot of those looks are coming in the red zone. During this five game losing streak, the Jags have allowed an average of 5.6 receptions and 62.2 yards per game to opposing tight ends. Getting six points out of your tight end spot is usually a respectable number, but also remember that Jacksonville has allowed three TDs to starting tight ends in its last five games as well.

Complete List of Week 7 NFL Lines Can Be Found Below

Week 7 of the 2010 NFL campaign is going to get underway this weekend. Below you will find the current list of 2010 Week 7 NFL lines and spreads along with a breakdown of the Week 7 NFL odds. Be sure to check out the free NFL picks from the expert handicappers at Bankroll Sports this weekend…

The Beastie Boys had it right when they said that “you gotta fight for your right to party!” There are a number of teams this week that could be facing situations in which they really have to prove to be victorious in NFL betting action, or they are just going to be too far away from the rest of the pack to sneak into the second season even with a great charge during the second half of the year.

The San Diego Chargers are probably Exhibit A in this situation. The Bolts have now been beaten as hefty road favorites in back to back weeks to the lowly Oakland Raiders and St. Louis Rams, and they now have four losses on the road already this season. The good news this week is that they’ll be back at home at Qualcomm Stadium. The bad news is that the New England Patriots, arguably the best team in AFC, if not the entire NFL, is coming to town. The Chargers are 2-0 SU and ATS this year in front of the hometown crowd, and a win this week is imperative, especially with this divisional race still being so tight in the AFC West. A loss will probably remove any realistic chance of capturing a Wild Card in the AFC, so this one has tremendous importance. San Diego is a 2.5 point favorite on the opening NFL lines this week.

The Dallas Cowboys are the other great example. HC Wade Phillips is sitting on one of the hottest seats in the NFL, and for good reason. His ‘Boys only have one win this season, and they aren’t looking good right now this weekend against the New York Giants on Monday Night Football. Dallas will fall three games out of first place with all three teams to still chase down with a defeat, something that New York would love to bestow upon it. QB Tony Romo might have to have a field day against this secondary, but you can bet that the offensive line is going to be in for a challenge against the formidable front seven in blue and white. Still, the oddsmakers are showing faith in Dallas, making it a three point home favorite on MNF.

The team that put Dallas in this spot, the Minnesota Vikings, have a crucial tilt with the banged up Green Bay Packers. The Pack were defeated in overtime for the second straight week last week, and they certainly don’t look like a division champion at this point in the season. Green Bay will welcome back QB Brett Favre to Lambeau Field and will try to beat him for the first time since leaving town three years ago. The Week 7 odds suggest that it will do just that, as the hosts are favored by 2.5 points over the Vikes.

Not all of the games this weekend are projected to be all that close, though. There are a pair of double digit point spreads on the board, and both are expected to certainly be romps.

The New Orleans Saints got back on track last week and got back into a tie for first place in the NFC South by crushing the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Now, QB Colt McCoy is likely to get yet another stern test. As if his first game against the Pittsburgh Steelers wasn’t hard enough… now he has to face the defending Super Bowl champs on the road. Yikes. There’s a reason that Cleveland is a 13.5 point underdog, the biggest on the board for the weekend.

The hapless Buffalo Bills are heading to the big crab cake, as they’ll come off their bye week and face the Baltimore Ravens. Baltimore fell back out of first place as quickly as it snared the lead in the AFC North, and a trip here would be incredibly inexcusable, particularly in a game like this one against a team that should be beaten the mass majority of the time. The Bills are 13 point dogs to fall to 0-6 on the campaign.

Complete List of Week 7 College Football Lines Can Be Found Below

Week 7 of the 2010 college football campaign is going to get underway this weekend. Below you will find the current list of 2010 Week 7 NCAA football lines and spreads along with a breakdown of the Week 7 college football lines. Be sure to check out the free NCAA football picks from the expert handicappers at Bankroll Sports this weekend!

With the face of the BCS Championship run already having taken a major turn last week when the Alabama Crimson Tide were defeated, Week 8 provides the potential to make NCAA football picks on that very same face changing once more.

The Ohio State Buckeyes have the biggest challenge of the bunch, as they have to travel to Camp Randall to take on the Wisconsin Badgers. This is only the second road game of the season for a team that many think is a complete joke as the No. 1 team in the land. It could be a very short reign for Ohio State atop the polls. A night game in Camp Randall is never fun, especially when the Badgers quite possibly have the best team that they have put on the field in the Brett Bielema era. The oddsmakers aren’t quite sure Ohio State is a shoe in for this game either, as they only lined the Bucks at -4.

In the other very crucial tilt that will change everything in the BCS race, the Arkansas Razorbacks will try to end the perfect season for the Auburn Tigers. Auburn is another one of these teams that we aren’t so sure about, as it had to scratch and claw just to get past the lowly Kentucky Wildcats last week. Though this game is at Jordan Hare Stadium, a place where the Tigers already have big wins against the Clemson Tigers and South Carolina Gamecocks this season, Arkansas clearly isn’t afraid to play the biggest teams in the land at home or on the road. Just look at last year’s near upset against the Florida Gators in the Swamp on Homecoming! Once again, it seems like an easy pick to take the higher rated Tigers, but the oddsmakers are showing some faith in the Razorbacks, lining them at just +4.

It feels like we shouldn’t be surprised to see that the Boise State Broncos are once again the biggest favorites on the weekend. They have to travel to play the San Jose State Spartans, a squad that just can’t figure out how to get out of its own way. Needless to say, these two teams are on totally different platforms right now, and the 40 point NCAA football spreads suggest just that in this game. Anything less than a very comfortable romp would cost Boise State big time in the run towards the BCS National Championship.

In 14 games this weekend, the oddsmakers aren’t totally sure who to line as the favorites. In each of those games, college football picks have to made against lines of three points or less. Interestingly enough, one of those games involves the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers. Though we don’t normally spend too much time worried about Sun Belt football, the Hilltoppers have still never won a game against an FBS opponent since becoming an FBS team. Now, they are two point home favorites against the Louisiana Monroe Warhawks to get the job done for the first time.

On the flip side of the coin, there are 11 games this weekend in which the NCAA football odds feature spreads of 20 points or more, including a number of games that involve traditional conference rivals.

Last week was not a great week for the football betting public and bookies did some damage in week 6. As we projected, the oddsmakers did their job in getting the underdogs to catch up with the favorites last week. Underdogs went a combined 9-5 in week 6 and favorites of 7 points or more went just 2-4 on Sunday. The two homedogs on the board split (1-1) and the biggest homedog in Oakland +14 vs. Philly won easily. Over/Unders split once again going 7-7 as that has pretty much been the trend all season. Of the week 7 NFL spreads, there are 5 favorites of 7 points or more and two favorites of 10 points. If you enjoy betting on homedogs then you will very much like the week 7 NFL spreads as 7 of the 11 opening lines are home underdogs. There are some interesting matchups including; the Chicago Bears who are getting 1½ points in Cincinnati vs. the Bengals and the (6-0) Minnesota Vikings heading to Pittsburgh as 4 point underdogs vs. the (4-2) Steelers. All of the totals are in the 40’s except for just two games (Jets @ Raiders & Eagles @ Redskins). The (3-2) Eagles are giving 7 points on the road to the (2-4) Washington Redskins in the week 7 Monday Night Football matchup.
